A big change in camping venue for TWW 2026. Willamette Pass has generously offered to host us this year. It may not have the ambiance of a forest campground, but the upgrade in facilities will make it a great base camp. Don’t miss a chance to thank them for this opportunity.
We’ll be starting off with a noon meeting at the Willamette Pass Ski Lodge on Fri 7/17, and break into several crews. It’s at MP 62 on Hwy 58, 90 min from Eugene and 75 min from Bend. Getting there 15 min early would be good.
Sat and Sun mornings, 7/18 & 19, we’ll start off with a safety meeting at 9:00. We usually have a shorter project option on Sunday.
Camping space provided at the Willamette Pass Lodge Fri and Sat nights with plenty of room for all. Some RV spots have electrical hook-ups.
The generous Willamette Pass staff will provide supper, breakfast, and brown bag lunches – details TBD. They will also have bathrooms in the lodge open while we’re there. If fire restrictions are in place by then, they have a propane fire ring for us.
What to bring: work or hiking boots (no running shoes, sorry), long sleeve shirt, gloves, safety glasses , and hard hat (we have gloves, glasses and hats if you need them), DEET, a head net if you like, and your favorite trail tool if you have one (we have lots). Also camping gear if you are staying overnight.
No experience required. Skills learned on the trail are a gift from the trails, just as your good work is a gift to us all.
